INTRODUCTION: I can be very lazy at many things in life. One of these things happens to be dailies. After months of doing the same dailies over and over, I began to wonder if there's a place out there that lists all the dailies of Northrend, and indexes their ease/time to complete. I Googled, and found nothing like what I was looking for. So I started a list myself. I used this guide to seek out every daily in Northrend, and completed every single one of them, all the while keeping in mind how much effort and time each one was taking, and giving them number values based on how worthy of my time each was. The result is this list.
THINGS TO NOTE: Keep in mind that this list is for gold rewards only and I did not take rep or honor rewards into account whatsoever. I did not rate dailies I do not have access to, such as Oracle dailies and Jewelcrafting dailies. I left out every daily with a reward of 8 gold or less, as those are automatically not worth my time. The quests are ordered from best to worst based on their Ease score. The Ease score is a number from 0-10 with 0 being nearly impossible to 10 being click a button to receive gold quests(which to my knowledge do not exist), and 5 being a fairly meh quest in terms of difficulty/time taken. A good example of a 5 quest would be Blowing Hodir's Horn. Some quests have comments, these are merely my two cents if I thought a particular quest deserved a little extra information.
MULTI BOX: The multi box field was Twenty's request, and it notes whether the quest is feasible for people who dual box. Due to the fact that I do not dual box, this information may be wrong. Some quests do not share credit, or due to their nature, make it impossible to complete for multiple characters with a single set of inputs. I did my best to extrapolate whether dual boxing is possible for every daily.
So without further ado...
Chicken Party! Location: Sholazar (Frenzyheart Only!) Ease: 9 Reward: 12g 84s Multi-box: No Comments: Can be done while Mounted. Be sure to have your Wolvar buddy out, he helps throw nets.
Drag and Drop Location: Icecrown Ease: 8 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: May take longer if others are doing it. Try to form a group.
King of the Mountain Location: Icecrown Ease: 8 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: With enough practice, you can jump straight up the wall and finish quite quickly
Vile Like Fire! Location: Icecrown Ease: 8 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: Just shoot the same building 8 times.
Defending Your Title Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 8 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: None.
Thrusting Hodir's Spear Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 8 Reward: 16g 53s Multi-box: No Comments: Once you get the technique down, this is quick and easy gold. The reward is a little more than average too!
Feeding Arngrim Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 8 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Don't kill the worms, just get them to low hp.
Leave Our Mark Location: Icecrown Ease: 7 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: AoEing large packs makes this quest go by much more quickly. Tank classes can kill all 15 in one pull since they don't hit hard at all, but they do knockback. [EDIT: As of the implementation of patch 3.1, this quest has become much more annoying to complete, due to a bug that causes an error message, "Target too close" to come up when you click to place the banner on a targeted corpse. You end up having to kill many more than 15 guys in order to find corpses in which it will allow you to plant banners.]
Retest Now Location: Icecrown Ease: 7 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Unsure Comments: Relatively quick. You get a nice 2 hour stacking buff depending on which cauldron you dump the souls into. Gray=100 AP, Green=75 stamina, Blue=60 SP. May be a good idea to do this daily right before a raid!
Capture More Dispatches Location: Icecrown Ease: 6 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Unsure Comments: This quest used to be much harder because the scouts flew around much faster, but they're much slower now. Still might be hard for people without epic flying.
Shoot 'Em Up Location: Icecrown Ease: 6 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: Aim in front of what you're shooting at. Lag can make this one very hard.
From Their Corpses, Rise! Location: Icecrown Ease: 6 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Best when combined with No Fly Zone (next)
No Fly Zone Location: Icecrown Ease: 6 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Don't use the skeletal gryphon, it's easier to just find the ones that are close to the ground and kill them on foot. Then turn them into zombies with the above quest. Both require 10 kills, so they complement each other well
Polishing the Helm Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 6 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: None
Dalran Cooking Dailies Location: Dalaran Ease: 6 Reward: 9g 93s Multi-box: No Comments: They're all pretty much the same in terms of difficulty and time taken.
Vekgar's Quests Location: Sholazar (Frenzyheart Only!) Ease: 5 Reward: 12g 84s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Requires you to kill a large amount of Gorlocks. Sometimes it's easier to just kill them straight up, without any of the gimmicks they provide.
Assault by Ground Location: Icecrown Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Best when combined with Blood of the Chosen (next)
Blood of the Chosen Location: Icecrown Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Since you're gonna be killing the dudes anyway, do this at the same time as you do Assault by Ground
Static Shock Troops: the Bombardment Location: Icecrown Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: The controls for the plane can be confusing. The plane moves pretty slowly, so it can take a frustratingly long time.
Slaves to Saronite Location: Icecrown Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: The time this takes to complete is largely dependent on luck.
The Solution Solution Location: Icecrown Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Unsure Comments: Can take a while to find all the pieces.
Spy Hunter Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Unsure Comments: This one can take a while, so while you're waiting for your wolf to find the spy, you can get Feeding Arngrim done since the worms are also in that area. Tasttey's fun fact: The wolf travels at the same speed you do while you have him active. Hop on your epic flyer after you summon him and when he makes the first turn he'll bump up to 280 or 310% speed. Makes the quest completable in just a few minutes.
Hot and Cold Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 5 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: None
Putting the Hertz Location: Icecrown Ease: 4 Reward: 16g 53s Multi-box: No Comments: This quest seems to be almost the exact same as Static Shock Troops: the Bombardment, but takes longer. To compensate, it has a slightly higher reward. You CANNOT complete both of them at the same time.
The Aberrations Must Die Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 4 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: None
Pushed Too Far Location: Storm Peaks Ease: 4 Reward: 12g 96s Multi-box: Unsure Comments: This quest isn't bad, but it takes too long and is located too far away from everything else to justify me giving it a higher score. Also its reward is slightly lower, what's up with that?
Not a Bug Location: Icecrown Ease: 3 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: Slow respawns on the mobs you have to kill, and sometimes it bugs out and doesn't let you loot the quest items from their corpses. Overall, very annoying quest.
Intelligence Gathering Location: Icecrown Ease: 2 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: The keys are a relatively low drop rate, then when you do manage to get some keys, half or more of the chests you open don't yield the quest items you need. As a result, this quest takes forever. Personally, I'd avoid it. Tasttey's fun fact: If you pick up the quest at the same time as the other 2 over there, you can get half your keys off the flying patrols. After that head over to the 2 boats in the harbor. There's 6-8 chests per boat with around 7 mobs on each boat as well. They're typically ignored because there's only 1 quest associated with the boats, killing the captains and they're on the top. They respawn quick enough if you don't get all your chests in 1 pass, by the time you're done with the 2nd boat the first has started respawning.
Assault by Air Location: Icecrown Ease: 2 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: No Comments: The plane is as slow as cold molasses. If your aim isn't absolutely perfect (and it won't be because the reticle wobbles), you miss the turrets and your plane gets shot down. Hate this quest.
Neutralizing the Plague Location: Icecrown Ease: 1 Reward: 22g 20s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Nice reward, but you can't solo it, it's a group quest that requires more people, and if you're lazy like me, that's a non-option.
No Rest for the Wicked Location: Icecrown Ease: 1 Reward: 22g 20s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Same complaint as before. Group daily quest that can't be soloed.
No Mercy Location: Icecrown Ease: 0 Reward: 13g 23s Multi-box: Yes Comments: Good luck finding 15 flagged hordes in Icecrown.
Mineko's Somewhat Optimized Daily Circuit: I don't claim it to be the best possible circuit, but this is the process I go through that nets a relatively high gold-to-time-and-effort ratio.
Fly to River's Heart in Sholazar, and complete Chicken Party!. This should take no more than two to three minutes. If you're not a Frenzyheart, you can either do the Oracle equivalent (I think it has to do with finding artifacts or something) or just fly straight to The Shadow Vault.
Go back to River's Heart and take the FP to The Shadow Vault in Icecrown. Once there, pick up Vile Like Fire!. Do it and turn it in, then immediately head for the airship and pick up Drag and Drop. Finish this, turn it in, and head for King of the Mountain, which is hidden beside one of the buildings on the east side of Ymirheim. Complete and turn it in, then head to the Crusaders' Pinnacle FP (where Highlord Tirion Fordring is. The Flight Master is the blood elf sitting on the crate beside the mailbox). Take the FP to Dun Nifflelem in Storm Peaks.
Once there, pick up Thrusting Hodir's Spear, Feeding Arngrim, and Spy Hunter. Fly to the wolf corpse, summon your wolf, and then immediately start using the tooth on worms and "capturing" them. You should try to stay close to the wolf while doing this because it'll despawn if you get too far away. You should be done with Feeding Arngrim before you find and kill the second spy. Hop on your mount for the last spy and watch your wolf zoom off to find it. After killing the last spy, look to the sky and use the spear on one of the Wild Wyrms. If you time it right, you can kill the wyrm while it's directly over or close to the quest hub at Dun Nifflelem. Turn in all three quests.
Optional: Take the FP from Dun Nifflelem to The Argent Stand in Zul'Drak. Pick up and complete the Troll Patroll series of quests. Hopefully you can complete them all and turn it in before your 20 minutes is up. If you can't, then I'd just skip this quest entirely since it's a lot of hassle for a relatively small amount of gold without the extra reward.
Doing this circuit in its entirety should take you no longer than an hour, and nets you about 140 gold. And you only use up 13 out of your possible 25 dailies, so you can add a bunch more dailies if you want to go for extra money and you're not quite as lazy as I am.
-- Look at my mediocre art! I've waited for her for so long, I've wondered if I could hang on. "Let me go," she said, "and I will want you more."
Great post man. I'll add in a comment for number 27, Spy Hunter. The wolf travels at the same speed you do while you have him active. Hop on your epic flyer after you summon him and when he makes the first turn he'll bump up to 280 or 310% speed. Makes the quest completable in just a few minutes.
The closest thing there is to a daily with an ease score of 10 is Congratulations! which really is "click button to receive gold", but in order to unlock it, you have to complete Troll Patroll in under 20 minutes, so it's sort of a 10 with an asterisk.

Another note for Number 34, Intelligence Gathering:
If you pick up the quest at the same time as the other 2 over there, you can get half your keys off the flying patrols.
After that head over to the 2 boats in the harbor. There's 6-8 chests per boat with around 7 mobs on each boat as well.
